Looking forward and looking up to 2017
As a successful investor and businessman, Lord Nell Benjamin Gibson has always followed the motto: life is best lived looking forward and looking up. At heart, he is an entrepreneur who is passionate about creating new companies, and instead of just sitting back and basking on the success, uses the profit to start new ventures and grow the LNBG brand.
Since he started out in his 20s, Lord Neil Benjamin Gibson has helmed the role of the leader of the LNBG Group and has overseen the formation of numerous companies. His remarkable vision and leadership has made him an exponential entrepreneur and social investor. Honoured with the title of Sir Knight, Lord Neil Gibson sits on numerous esteemed panels and boards, donating his time and capital to lead hundreds of businesses that he has either created or helped develop.
The Seed Foundation
The SEED Foundation is a registered 501(C)(3) non-profit entity capable of providing donors with tax deductions, of which are directly involved in the overall reduction of transportation and construction costs. A future sovereign tax credit offering is also generated with the development of ‘eco-villages’, to which ‘carbon credits’ will be created by virtue of village operations.
The foundation identifies areas across the world that have exposure to natural resources or capital, but have not had the ability to exploit these resources. In many cases, this is due to lack of basic infrastructure such as roads, bridges, housing and education. Over the years, The SEED Foundation has spearheaded several philanthropic initiatives in countries such as Morocco and other African nations, bringing transformative change to the lives of those who have had little opportunity.
Many investors and charities are recognising the power of the LNBG brand and have expressed interest in ongoing work and future potential. As Lord B. Gibson says, “Here is to LNBG still playing for years to come – and to growing many more companies that disrupt industries and deliver exceptional service around the globe.”
Doing the right things
As Lord Neil Gibson says, “If the people who work at your company are completely proud of the job they are doing, if you give them the right tools to do a good job, they are proud of the brand, if they are treated well, they are going to be happy and therefore the customer will have a positive experience. So, my philosophy has always been that if you can put staff first, your customer second and shareholders third, effectively, in the end, the shareholders do well, the customers do better and you are also satisfied.”
“Most of all, what we hope to continue building is an exceptional company that gets all the little details right. And the people out on the front line, they know when things are not going right and they know when things need to change or be bettered. And if you listen to them you can soon improve all those aspects which turns an average enterprise into an exceptional company.”
